As football has become a part of me, I learned many skills. I learned to work well with others, in both good situations, and bad ones. I learned to be accountable -- my team relied on me to do my job as I did theirs. Football has shown me what it truly means to be dedicated and committed, the only practices I miss are when I am in the hospital or seeing a doctor so I am actually able to practice. I have become a leader on the field, and have earned the respect of my brothers. Football has allowed me to find a balance of time; taking classes at South Sound Community College while maintaining a solid 3.77 GPA on top of football practice is no small feat. Football equipped me with the right skills, with a great group of friends, for my future. Having an opportunity to play at the collegiate level would be no different. It would mean a transfer of these traits, qualities, and characteristics into my profession. I have already shown I can handle my academics as a student-athlete in college and have the characteristics to back it up. What makes me a good candidate for your team? I take my academics serious, and take pride in what kind of person I represent for my coaches, teammates, and program.
