Personal Statement

Dear Coach, I am a 6'2" 210lb linebacker in my Junior year at Skyline High School in Sammamish, WA. I am one of the starting WIL linebackers in a 3-4 defense and have also played OLB in past seasons.  This year we were KingCo 4a champs and played in the state 4a championship game but unfortunately came up short finishing 2nd. My best game was vs. state qualifier Issaquah when I recorded 13 tackles (9 solo) with 1 sack. I have a 3.43 GPA. This past offseason I spent my time improving my game and competed with some of the best players on the West Coast. Here are some of the highlights: •Continued to work out at FSP with Tracy Ford in Bellevue, WA •Played on FSP 7on7 Elite (2015 Seattle Champs; 2015 Pylon Las Vegas, Elite 8 round) •Selected to the U.S. Army National Combine in 2016 •Attended college camps at Northern Arizona University, University of Washington, University of Montana, Eastern Washington and the University of Idaho •Recognized as one of the top linebackers at the RDAF showcase camp (Vype.com) •Selected in the first 100 to the “Top 200 players in the Northwest” for classes 2016-2018 (Vype.com) I am looking for a university that will give me the education and experiences that will help set me up for a successful career on and off of the field. My interests are in business or sports management. After I graduate I think I either want to eventually become a college athletic director or a general manager in the NFL. Since I am just beginning my process of looking at colleges, I am open to a wide variety of schools DI, DII, DIII and NAIA. Away from the classroom and field I spend my free time with my family and I also volunteer as a mentor to a middle school student with Downs Syndrome through a program called Athletes for Kids. Thank you for looking at my profile! Regards, Alex Diegel

The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
