Elijah Burns '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Elijah Burns (NCAA Eligibility# 1608559949), Class of 2018.  I have achieved academically in school, highlighted by my induction into the Junior National Honor Society (2013),  the National Beta Club (May 2016), the National Society of High School Scholars (July 2016), and  the Honor Society (2017).  I am a 2-year starter on the Thomas Dale High School football team.  As a senior, I started at running back/SS, selected to the Big River Rivalry All-star game.  Coaches consider me a sound tackler, possessing the ability to cover receivers, read the offense, and make the right in-game adjustments.  As a running-back, coaches describe me as a power-back due to my ability to run through the tackles, block, and finish plays moving forward.   This football season, I earned All-Region Honors as running back (2nd Team).  In 2016,  I earned 2nd Team All Conference 3 Defensive Honors (Linebacker).  I dedicate my free time provided service to my local community, volunteering over 70 hours per year, over the past 4-years.  I am eager to finish my senior year and to to obtain a scholarship to be a student-athlete at the collegiate level.
