My name is Jackson Childress and I am in the Class of 2017 and start as Quarterback for Hickory High School in Chesapeake Virginia! I understand that good grades are a priority in order to play football (or any sport for that matter) and my focus is on being a student/athlete in college as I fulfill my athletic and academic dreams. I know in my heart that I have the "drive" and the "desire" to go on to the next level after High School and play college football and play it at the highest level possible. It has always been my dream! I know there are a lot of young guys out there that say the same thing and want the same thing to happen for them, but I will out-work them and do whatever it takes to play College Football. I play football for the "love of the game". The types of schools that I'm looking for would be medium - large sized schools. Also, the academic program of the schools would have to be a good fit for the major/majors I would want to pursue. I'm looking at D3-D1 (D1 being my ultimate dream/goal) schools and my desired majors are Physical Therapy/Therapist, Business, Law and/or Sports and Fitness Administration. With the climate of today's economy, I would welcome any financial assistance I may be eligible for to pursue my college goals. My athletic goals for the near future are to continue to play on my high school team for my senior year and compete hard and tough, striving to make the playoffs in our class. After high school, I want to continue playing football in college as a true Freshman, while attending the college that's truly for me academically. I not only just want to get the chance to play as a true Freshman, but I want to make a major impact as a true Freshman, and to play at the highest level of competition possible. I am committed to my goals, I am focused on the prize, and I will work tirelessly if given the chance. I love this game and will not back down from the challenges it gives me! Thank you for taking the time to review my information.
