My name is Alex Ronk. I am a 17 year old senior playing Varsity Football at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn Virginia. My present goals include: helping my football team to a successful season and the playoffs; breaking all weightlifting records at Briar Woods; maintaining a 3.5 or better GPA; and to receive an opportunity to play college football.
I began playing football at age 6, with 7 years in the Ashburn Youth Football League, including playing on an undefeated 8th grade select travel football team.
In 2013, I started on both offensive and defensive lines for the undefeated Briar Woods Freshmen Team. I was moved up to the Varsity for the Conference/State Playoff games. In 2014, I was rotated as a starter on both the offensive and defensive lines, gaining valuable experience as a Nose Tackle. In 2015, I was the starting left guard on offense and nose tackle/ defensive end on the defense. I mostly dominated opposing lineman as both my NCSA and Hudl highlight films will reflect. I obtained individual recognition while being selected for the Virginia All Conference 14 Team Honorable Mention.
My 2016 season is in process. I am a starter on both Offense and Defense. My best game to date included 15 tackles (solo/assists) during the Division 6A South County HS game.
I have a tremendous work ethic; and I am very committed to conditioning and strength training. I have trained as a boxer for over 7 years at LA Boxing and participate in Adam Wooten’s Pure Speed Program. I also work out with Cliff Russell’s RIP Performance Program in Ashburn, Va.
Playing sports, working out and being an excellent student can be challenging at times. Yet, I’m able to effectively manage my time and schoolwork. I currently maintain a 3.5 GPA.
