Zackary Hughes '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I live in Mansfield Texas and I am currently a senior at Mansfield High School. I started playing football when I was in the third grade and immediately fell in love with the sport. It has always been my dream to play football at the collegiate level and I believe I have what it takes to achieve this dream. Mansfield won back to back district championships my two seasons as a Varsity starter. 2015 was a history making season for Mansfield High School. It was our schools first time to make it to the state semi-finals in class 6A division two and I was very proud to be apart of it. This season we made it to the regional round of region 1 conference 6A division II of the playoffs losing to Cedar Hill. I was named first team offense all-district and academic all-district both my junior and senior seasons for Mansfield. This past season I was named third team offense all-state by the Texas Sports Writters Association. I am very proud of these accomplishments. I am the starting Fullback for the Tigers and the lead blocker for senior University of Oklahoma commit Kennedy Brooks. On junior varsity I played both ways and was the starting Fullback and starting middle and strong side linebacker. I also work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field and know the importance an education will play in my future. I am hoping to find the right school that will allow me to continue my football dreams and also receive a first class education while doing so.
