I am a student-athlete currently playing Outside Linebacker for my high school in Burleson Texas. In recent years I have played strong safety and have been asked to step up an fill the roll of Outside linebacker this year. I have also played corner and wide receiver. I feel my size and speed have allowed me to play well and help with the team's success. I will be a second-year starter for our team this year and I have always been told that I have strong leadership skills. I am always anxious to be at practice and stay late often to perfect my skills. I am willing to do whatever is necessary to help my team and also provide myself with an edge through extra work and effort. I would like to attend a school in Texas, but I am open to schools outside of my home state. I place great priority on my education and therefore, would like to attend a college with a superior academic history and moderate to very selective academic admissions. I am also open to different sizes and divisions of schools. I currently have a 3.3 GPA and will place all my effort into improving that this year. I am aiming at graduating in the top 10% of my class. I plan to major in Business, Accounting, Economics, or Law as I hope to own my own business in the future. Outside of sports, I also enjoy volunteering for events such as the Relay for Life. I believe giving back to the community is an important part of being a leader and role model as it adds to my abilities as an athlete. I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between outstanding academics and a solid athletic program. I do plan to submit a FAFSA application in October of 2017 and I am expecting some financial assistance.
