I would like to play football at a college or university with high academic and athletic standards. I have attended a private school in Austin, TX with a very high academic standard as well as a strong athletic program. I have played tackle football since 4th grade and have played in the Regents Spread offensive system since 6th grade. I am a coach's son and consider myself to have a high football IQ. I have started at the quarterback position for the last 6 years. As a sophomore starting quarterback in 2014, I led my team to an 8-3 record and 2nd place in our very competitive district. I was selected first team All-District QB by our district coaches and was also selected to be on Leadership Council by my coaches and teammates for the third year in a row. As a junior starting quarterback (2015), I led our team to a district championship and on to the quarterfinals, losing a close game to the eventual state champions. I was selected first team All-District QB and also made Academic All State. I was awarded the Leadership Award by my teammates and coaches after the season. Our offense is an up-tempo, no-huddle spread offense where I have the responsibility of giving the OL every play as well as all pass protection assignments. My football strengths include: knowledge of the game, good decision making under pressure, good footwork and passing mechanics resulting in accuracy and being on time. I am a dual run-pass threat with the ability to pass from pocket as well as on the run. I have also played select baseball since I was 10 years old. Most of my time in baseball has been spent playing middle infield and pitching. I have been a starter on our varsity baseball team both as a sophomore and junior. I was most recently named our baseball team's team MVP for the 2016 season. In addition to off-season football workouts at my school, I train at Overspeed Training with Angel Spassov to improve my strength and weight, and I do speed training with Royce Dennis and Running with Angels. I also train all year with my quarterback coach and OC, coach Clay Carter. I would love to discuss my goals and aspirations, both in academics and athletics, with you. I am confident that my work ethic, determination and leadership will be an asset to your school and athletic program.
