JB Bowman '17 Recruiting Profile

Since I can remember, I have loved football and dreamed of playing college football.  My grandfather played football at OU and went on to coach college football.  He and my dad have been a big influence on my life and through their influence I have leaned how the trials and victories on the football field teach us life lessons.   I hope to attend a school that gives me the best chance to excel in both football and academics.   As an offensive lineman, I have learned the importance of teamwork and the value of being a good teammate.  On my team, our success as an O-line depends on how we work together, and if one player fails his assignment, we all fail.  This past year, my teammates learned that I can be depended on to give 100% on every play.  This concept also has parallels in life, as one's integrity and character will define how he relates to his friends, family, and coworkers.  The college team that signs me as a player will not only benefit from my talents as a football player, but also as a teammate who leads by example, and who cares about the success of his teammates.
