Kipling Lewis '17 Recruiting Profile

Since going to the Panthers v. Vikings game in 2012, I have wanted to get to that higher level of football. I have worked since my 7th grade summer to be a kicker/punter. I made my local high school B-team in my 8th grade year and started to only punt in my sophomore year. I was second string to a senior and my first varsity punt was 50 yds. with a 5 sec. hangtime. At that same time my mother began to take chemotherapy for stage 4 breast cancer.  We decided as a family to move to Northwood Academy where my work ethic would be showcased and the family would receive the support Northwood provides.  Since that year I moved to Northwood academy I started working even harder than I was before and became the starting punter but, without a seasoned long snapper. My junior year was not my best but I learned that regardless of a good snap or not, I have a job to do and with that, my senior year placed me second in the state with multiple awards including All-Region, All-County, All-Lowcountry and All-State for SCISA. I am a good candidate for your team because I aspire to be the best punter in the country. What makes me different is my resilience towards every situation, if i shank a punt you wont see me pout the entire game on the sidelines. I will be back on the field with a smile and make up for it. I love the sport and being a part of the team.
