Christopher Mottillo '18 Recruiting Profile

     I would like to get a division 1 football scholarship that will provide me with an education to help me to realize my goal of one day being a Medical Doctor. I play two sports, football and basketball. My primary positions in basketball are forward and center while I play tight end as my number one position with defensive end as my secondary position for football. My high school runs the spread offense as well as some pro set which gives me the unique opportunity to line up on the offensive line as well as split out wide in various 2-2 or 3-1 sets. Each of the last two years, I have also been invited to FBU Top Gun.

     Recently, I completed my best academic semester to date, with the highest accumulative QPA (5.25) in my freshman class of some 160 students. Essentially, this is a quarterly 'Valedictorian' award that my high school gives out. I am currently taking the only two AP classes offered to freshman at my school: AP Human Geography and Advanced (AP) Geometry. I have a 4.0 GPA and have averaged an overall percentage of over 99% in all of my classes combined for the previous two academic quarters.

     I am a very hardworking individual when it comes to my academics first and then my athletics following. I firmly believe that the only path leading to my goals is one that involves a great deal of hard work and dedication that very few possess. I am currently lifting three days a week as well as working with a separate speed coach in addition to that two days a week. Overall, I'm an individual of high character who values faith, family, academics, and then sports last. I know that if I have strong faith, family values, and academics, it will open the door to my future whereas someone who doesn't value those aspects of their life won't be able to get as far in life relying solely on athletics. Coupled with all of this, I have done 26 service hours during this school year alone and hope to do many more in the near future.
