My name is Maxton Edgerly and I am seeking to further my academic and athletic career in a rigorous undergraduate program. A definition of who I am can be summed up in three words: commitment, challenge, and character. What matters most to me as I continue to discover my own identity in each new day center around my commitment to becoming the best student, citizen, and athlete I can be. This commitment is not a weekly or monthly event, commitment is choosing to become better at the beginning of each new day. As a result of my dedication to each new day, I realize that I must be challenged in the classroom, the athletic field, and in my community each day in order to become more of who I was created to be. Lastly, the foundation of which both commitment and challenge stand is character. Character matters in all that I do. When I seek to lead, meet a challenge, or seek to make a difference, it is not what I say that matters, it is what I do. I pride myself on quiet leadership in all arenas of my life. My direction and passion centers around character, commitment, and challenge each day. Please feel free to reference my academic record, my athletic record, or just talk to the kindergarten students that I teach on Sunday morning to see if I am pursuing my mission. Thanks for your consideration. Maxton D. Edgerly
