I love the game of football. Football is not just a fall sport, it is a year round commitment. I believe in keeping in top physical condition. To quote my 80+ year old grandfather (great health, no medication) you need to follow a routine. Proper rest, healthy diet, and daily exercise. A strong mind develops a strong body, which helps avoid injury. A fit mind and body helps me perform at my peak and stay healthy year round. Being a football player goes farther than just practice and games, I make sure I study plays, learn from my mistakes and get stronger for the upcoming games by lifting and getting proper rest and nutrition so I can push even harder than I have the day before.
My career goal is to be a high school physical education instructor. I will strongly encourage my students to keep their bodies in shape, because by staying healthy it's helps them function better as a student and athlete. They will need to be strong and avoid peer pressure when it comes to avoiding alcohol, smoking, and drugs. To quote my coach: don't give up all that you have worked for a brief moment of fun. I stick to this quote because I have put my time, dedication for football and not to mention my parents huge contribution. I have been involved in sports since kindergarten. My parents drove me to practice, attended all of my games and helped me become a better athlete. All of this leads me to want to further my football career in college, earn my degree and give back to the community. My goal is to influence the future generation to make good decisions and respect what you have been given.
