Not only hosting a playoff game, but winning it, and making history in the process has been the highlight of my high school football career! That success felt awesome, but it was the defeats that have helped me grow into the leader, and player that I am today.

The team got down, as we started the 2015 season off with a 1– 4 record. I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t also effected by it. Nevertheless, with a little bit of soul searching, I came to the realization that if I wanted to turn the season around that I would have to become a better leader and brother that my teammates could depend on.

We made a complete turnaround! We finished off a hard fought season by making it to the playoffs, and getting over the historical hump of winning a playoff game. I've been astounded by the tremendous strides we have made as a program starting from my freshman year until now.

Our coaching staff got us prepared mentally and physically through hard work, sacrifices and with the dedication that we knew we had to give in order to become the team that we wanted to be. One goal of mine for this season is to lead my team to a deep playoff run, and hopefully a state title. I firmly believe that I have what it takes to compete, athletically & academically at the next level. Not only because of my athletic ability but my determination and leadership on and off the field. I have always taken pride in being a positive influence to those around me.
