My football career started when I was nine years old, in the fourth grade. The first time I put on my tackle equipment, I felt a passion and a connection to the sport. Playing football has always made me truly happy. Now that I am a senior in high school and my season is winding down, I am only left with two options. I could accept that this is my last season playing football, but the thought of that leaves me feeling empty. The other choice would be to pursue an opportunity to play in college. I believe that my college experience would be complete if I can identify a school and an opportunity to continue playing this sport that I love, while completing my degree.
I have always tried to be a leader on my team. I push myself for my personal benefit and for the benefit of the team. I try to maintain a positive attitude even in the face of adversity and encourage others to do the same. In everything that I do, I want to be the person who is known for his hard work and dedication. I like to leave everything I do knowing that no one worked harder than me. I believe in leading by example, and I always push myself and those around me to be better every day.
Outside of sports, dedication and focus are paramount. In school, I strive to be a better student every day, and maintain a high GPA. I also like to give back to my community by volunteering at my local fire department.
I would like to attend a college that will allow me to excel both in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all programs that would support me in this endeavor so that at the end of my collegiate experience I will be ready to enter the workforce. Ultimately, I want to participate in a program that will allow me to achieve my personal best. By doing this I will make my family, and my community proud.
