My ambition has always been to play collegiate football; ever since I was a little kid I have had an incredible love for the game. What has made me a great player, teammate, and leader for my team is my ability to handle adversity. I pride myself on my drive, determination, and coachability. In my freshman year I learned and adapted to the triple option offense, and in both of my varsity seasons, sophomore and junior year, I have had to learn completely different systems in the wing t and spread. Despite all of the pieces and coaches that have changed in my high school career, my love for the game has held strong and my attitude has always been positive, an attitude that I believe has been instrumental in breathing life back into a program that had lost its knowledge of winning. In my 3 years as a starter, I have left my program better than when I arrived. When I came in as a sophomore it was coming off of two winless years. After my senior year, in which I was voted team captain by my peers, we set the school record for wins in a season (9) and made it to a Group III state championship game. I am 6'1 and 180 pounds, and while I continue to grow and make size and strength gains, my size has never limited my playing style. I am the hard worker that I think every coach wants. I fully appreciate the IQ and awareness that it takes to play at my position. I have an extremely positive attitude and I am constantly self-reflecting and improving, constantly craving growth as a player: both mentally and physically. You’ll never see me shy away from pressure, or give up on a play to avoid a hit. During the off-season, I have been awarded and honored with my team's Most Valuable Player Award in both my junior and senior seasons. I was also awarded the honor of being on the first team for my conference and my county after my senior year. Away from the field I work very diligently in the classroom. Since my freshman year I have taken 10 Honors or AP level courses, and have achieved honor roll and high honor roll. I have done very well at a highly rigorous school, and continue to succeed in my studies every day. School is a very serious commitment to me, and I dedicate myself equally in my studies as I do on the field. It would be amazing to have the opportunity to play college football at a University with similar values in education and athletics and one decision I can guarantee a coach would never regret is bringing me onto their team.
