My name is Justice Watson and I am a scholar athlete at Bishop Gorman High School. I have learned to overcome many obstacles that have hindered me in the past. All of these obstacles have molded me in to the person I am now. I have learned how to persevere in the face of adversity as I have goals that I would like to attain. I am continuing to better myself on a weekly basis concerning strength and conditioning. While setting the bar higher and higher to exceed the expectations of my coaching staff on a daily basis, I have also learned how to balance academics and athletics since my arrival as a freshman. Although the many distractions of daily life, I have taught myself to keep my mind on my goals at hand. Even with the challenging curriculum at Bishop Gorman I am continuing to better myself academically. I do this not only for myself, but for my parents as they have sacrificed much to let me attend this high school. My family is very supportive of me, and I believe in family values as they will lead me down a moral path in life. As I am traveling down this path, I can hear my Strength and Conditioning coach, "Who are you when the pain sets in?". I take this quote with me in everything I do, whether it be community service or coaching my former little league football team. It empowers me to be an even better person that will reach my ultimate goal, attending a good academic university to get my degree and hopefully continuing my career in football. whomever will grant me this wonderful opportunity will be receiving a well-rounded student athlete who understands how to be successful in even the most difficult times.
