Personal Statement

Dear Potential Coach,

My name is Austin Czarnecki. I will be graduating from Foothill High School in Henderson, NV with the class of 2017. I am a senior this season. I am a 6'3", 280 lb. hard-working offensive lineman. I have started all four years of my high school career , playing almost every position on the offensive line. For example, last year, I started at right guard, but mostly played left tackle due to our starter being injured early in the season. I was also blessed to receive the honor of second team all-conference for the left tackle position. This year I am the starting right guard. On the field, I am a very hard-working, aggressive, yet coachable player, who tries to be as great as physically possible. I pick up new plays and blocking schemes very easily, and I am constantly aware of defensive fronts and everything else happening on the field at all times. In preparation for my senior year, I have devoted a lot of time into getting bigger, faster, and stronger to allow myself to succeed on the field.

Off the field, I pride myself on being a good, reliable student. I have kept a 3.8 unweighted GPA, and I have been ranked highly within my class for the past three years. During my sophomore year, I took two AP classes (Human Geography and English), along with one honors class (Spanish). My junior year, I took two honors classes (History and English). This year, I am taking a challenging college preparation math class, as well as an honors English, Government, and Anatomy class. Throughout my entire high school career, I have tried to challenge myself in the classroom with classes of this caliber. I scored a 24 on the ACT last year, and plan to retake the SAT sometime this year. In college, I would like to pursue a degree in health or science, and hopefully help provide a better future for the world that we live in.

My goal is to go to a college or university where I can get a solid education, and play the game that I love at the collegiate level.
