I feel I am a good candidate because I feel as though I am a role model, therefore I make myself an upstanding citizen in my community. An example of this is a couple parents asking me to take their younger children under my wing to help guide them in academics as well as athletics. I am a leader on as well as the field, I am willing to make sacrifices for anybody on my team. I am a considered a “silver medal academic athlete” at my school. This requires a 90% or above average in grades while participating in 3 athletic squads. I am always willing to go the extra mile to improve myself.
