Cam Collins '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Cam Collins.  I'm 17 years old and am a junior at Aurora High School in Aurora, NE.  I played the starting offensive guard on our varsity football team my sophomore year, but my junior year I was out with a back injury all season so all of my stats are from the spring of my sophomore season.  I'm 6'4 and weigh 285 pounds.  I helped our team take second place in our conference in the 2013 season.

I play three sports during high school which makes me a "three sport athlete."  I wrestle and throw shot put on our track team.  I wrestled on the junior varsity and varsity wrestling team and track team.  I threw on the varsity for a few meets at the end of the season.  I lettered in track this year. I've done all this all while keeping a cumulative GPA of 3.66.

My goal in life is to receive a great college education while playing my favorite sport.  I want to make it to the college level and I think I have the tools and drive that can get me there.  I am a hard working young man who as my coach says is very "coachable."  I do whatever needs done to help my team win.  Playing football has taught me many life lessons.  My coach is all about character.  He has a motto called "TDU."  This stands for tradition, discipline, and unity.  That motto has taught me to be the young man I am today.
