My greatest strength is my versatility. During my varsity career I have played wide receiver, tailback, fullback, and wing back on the offensive side of the ball. I entered this season designated to play wide receiver but due to team needs, I was asked to play tailback. The coach wanted to get me the ball as much as possible so this created other opportunities to play different positions as the offense changed during the season.
On the defensive side I was used as a cornerback and defensive end in addition to my main position, safety. As a safety, I played the traditional “center field” role as well as being in the box. In my only appearance this year at middle linebacker, I recorded 14 tackles. I allowed no pass completions this year while singled up on a receiver.
Beginning my sophomore year, I served as the team’s primary punt and kick returner. Several games this year, the opposition chose to kick the ball away from me. I also play on punt and kick coverage.
I, along with another player, was elected team captain this year. Due to a long-standing tradition at my school, the team was directed to elect a senior player. I helped my team in a leadership role despite not being an official captain.
