Hello coaches and recruiters. Thank you for viewing my profile, my name is Brady Bertram and I am a senior at Totino Grace HS where I have been the varsity fullback for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons. My team and I won the Minnesota State High School Class 6A tournament my senior season. My football team opts up 2 levels of play here in Minnesota so that we are competing against the best competion. I helped lead Totino Grace to an 11-2 record and a 2nd place finish in class 6A at the MSHSL prep bowl my Sophmore season and a 9-3 record with a semi-final appearance in the MSHSL state football tournament my Junior year. I was also a varsity wrestler my freshman and sophomore years for Totino Grace. I received All Conference honors my sophomore year of wrestling. I enjoy the physical and mental challenges of both sports and believe they will help me reach my future collegiate goal of becoming a student athlete at the next level.
I am currently 6 ft and 205 lbs and have been playing both FB and LB since I started playing football at the age of six. I am listed on the class of 2017 watch list for Minnesota's top prep football players by Northstar Football News, have received four spotlight on scholarship awards for academic achievements during both football and wrestling by maintaining a 3.17GPA.
I strive to have the best work ethic on and off the field, as well as the best attitude through ups and down. I always try to lead by example with my hard work. My work ethic and determination I believe is what makes me different then any other recruit. I am also very coachable. I understand when coaches correct me, because they are just trying to help me improve as well as instill more discipline in me. When I am playing I am a huge team player, I love each and every single one of my teammates like my brother. I encourage them so we can all succeed together. I am always trying to improve my game by working out to get bigger, faster and stronger. Also improving my knowledge of the game to be the best I can be on the field. I pride myself on being a student of the sport.
I attended public school all through elementary and middle school carrying almost straight A's throughout that time. I accepted the challenge of going to a catholic high school to push my academic abilities and also make me a better person. I believe going to a catholic high school has done those things for me. I have continued achieving A's and B's and will continue working toward a 4.0 GPA. I realize school can get me further in life than football so that's why I take it very seriously.
I have been influenced by my older brother who was a D1 wrestler. I looked back and studied how he got there. I am trying to do exactly what he did to reach my goal of playing college football.
I want to find a college where I can be pushed In the classroom and on the field. I want to find the right college at the highest level possible for me, I am open to the opportunity's that come forward. I hope to represent my school and my family at the collegiate level and become a role model to all my peers. Leading by example on and off the field.
Thank you,
Brady Bertram
