I am an Honors student at a parochial school which has earned the State of Michigan Governor’s Cup. Our curriculum is above average. I maintain a GPA above 3.70. I am also a member of the National Honors Society. I have an excellent attendance and citizenship record.
I was the first freshman to earn a starter position on my school’s Varsity football team in its 30 year history in 2013. I have maintained that starter status through my HS career on both sides of the ball. I made our school’s Varsity hockey team as a freshman in 2013-14, and have maintained my position for my HS hockey career as well. I also compete at the Varsity level for Track and Field since my freshman year throwing shot put. As a freshman, placing second at Regional’s, throwing above the qualifier to earn a trip to States. For the 2015 T & F season, I was County and Regional Champ, and earned All State honors with a throw of 50' 10.5" placing 5th at the D3 State Meet. And was Regional Champion and State Qualifier in 2016 with a PR of 52' 4.25".
I am earning the Eagle Scout award rank in the BSA. I held the maximum one year terms as Senior Patrol Leader in 2012-13 and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader 2013-14. I am serving as Quarter Master this year. I also am an altar server in my church, and participate in multiple church, school, and community service projects throughout the year. I also am a member of HOGS, which is a "secret society" invite only school group that performs random acts of kindness for students who are in need of peer support.
My goal is to play football at the highest college level of which I am capable. If given the opportunity, my intention is to work the hardest on the field and earn a starting position. It is not enough for me just to wear the uniform.
