I'm Nathan Cooley and I'm a senior at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, MA. My graduating class is 2017. My primary position is linebacker (inside but also have played outside), but I also start at guard and do all of the long snapping. During my junior year I had a great experience playing varsity football and my love for the game grew even more. I was able to have a lot of success during my junior year helping my team finish with a 8-3 season and I was personally recognized as a league all-star on defense. I like to play an aggressive but controlled style of football. I learned early on that the one that hits first usually wins the play so that's what I like to do.
I was selected by my teammates to be one of our captains for the 2016 season. This is a great honor that I take very seriously. Nine weeks through my senior season our team is 6-3 and we won the first round of the playoffs. We play for the Central Massachusetts title on November 12th.
My goal in college is to major in business. Academics have always been very important to me; I'm a proud member of the National Honor Society which stresses academic achievement and community service. I see my college years as an opportunity to grow as a student athlete. I am very coachable on an off the field. I will work very hard to make a positive impact to my team, coaches, and school.
