Mike McGoff '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael McGoff and I am a Junior at Ashland High School, Ashland, MA.  I am interested in playing football in college, as well as attaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science. 
Academically, I currently hold a 3.2 at Ashland High School.  My interests are in math and science.  I completed my first year of Physics and am taking AP Physics my senior year.  I will also be taking AP Calculus this year as well.  I have taken Web Design and Robotics as electives and thoroughly enjoyed both.
On the football field I am a lineman.  I started playing Pop Warner football when I was 8.  I have always been a lineman and over the years I have refined my stance to maximize performance.  I played both sides of the ball as a Junior, Offensive Guard and Defensive Tackle – coming off the field rarely.  I was named Tri-Valley First Team for the 2014 season!  I was selected as Captain of my team for the 2015 season.
In addition, I earned my Eagle Scout Award in 2014.  My Eagle project was constructing a bathroom at the Ashland Middle School field (home of Ashland Pop Warner).  It was a very complicated project that took the majority of my spring and summer.  Attaining the rank of Eagle Scout was a very proud moment for me, concluding many enjoyable years of scouting.
