I have played football since I was the minimum age limit to play, five years old. I have played every year of my life since then and wouldn't have it any other way. Football has taught me many things about myself throughout the years; a work ethic and commitment to the sport and my team has been brought out of me which I would have never found without football, and it has taught me how strong a bond between teammates truly can be.
My freshman year of High School was a wake-up call, my team (Chopticon Freshman Team), went 0-10 for the season. That was the year I grew the most, I never wanted to feel that feeling of defeat again. That season helped me improve my work ethic and it drove me to become a leader and get into the weight room as much as possible and develop chemistry and brotherhood with my teammates. Since then, we have not had a losing season and do not plan to. My academic goal for the remainder of High School is to maintain my 3.5 cumulative GPA, and my academic goal for college is to be accepted into a 4-year University that benefits me both academically and athletically. I believe that i do not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but also the work ethic, commitment, and leadership skills to thrive and excel on a college team and make an immediate impact.
