Coming into High School I wasn't mentally prepared as a football player to play at those standards as are all student-athletes. I took a 2 year break from football to take time and collect myself and make sure I get the good grades I know I can achieve. My mother talked me into going back out and try to play football again. Thus I did so and started my long journey to where i am physically and mentally prepared now more than I was before.
At the start of spring practices I started at the bottom of the food chain. I had to scratch and bleed and sweat to get to that starting role and prove to my coaches that I wanted dearly. I worked everyday to get better and strive to be that top level football player. I used my large frame and weight advantage to make myself a dominate force on the field. By week one I earned the starting spot.
My love for the sport started at an early age growing up in a very sport influenced household. I had high school and college football players due to my uncles Mike and Johnathan Scifres playing football at those levels and that kind of pushed me to choosing out of anything this is what i want to do and this is what I love. Growing up around that and being on the lower end of society I always knew I could never give up on anything I would always have to push through adversity and give everything my all. My love for the sport makes me want to extend my knowledge of it into college and study Sports medicine and Coaching. I want to set a good example for my younger siblings and that is why I will give it my all on your team.
