I am a Junior at Urbandale High School (Urbandale, Iowa). We are a 4A school which is the largest division in Iowa. I currently am 6'4 and weigh 275 lbs. I have been a varsity football starter the past 2 years. I recently decided, with my parents support, and my high school’s approval, to graduate early. I hope this may increase your interest since I’d be available for January 2016 as an early enrollee. My desire is to start working out with my college teammates and adjusting to college life.
As a sophomore I attained my goal which was to start varsity. Through the progression of my football career I have played other positions including center, left guard, offensive tackle, defensive tackle, tight end and long snapper. I earned Academic All-Conference during my 2013 football season.
Prior to my junior year, and to continue to be the best possible, I worked on many areas in the off-season. January 2014 I worked with a trainer three times a week in addition to the school workouts. With a trainer's help, I gained 30 pounds, increased my foot agility and worked on hip movement. This extra work and strength made a difference in the 2014 season.
During the 2015 off-season as I face my senior season I am working on my strength and speed. I have a passion and love for football. Playing college football is my dream and I am determined to make my dream a reality. While in college, I want to study criminal justice and follow my dad's steps in a law enforcement career.
