I am part of a team who knows how to win at the 6A level (largest in Indiana). My sophomore year I started at Offensive Tackle--we went undefeated in the regular season and lost by a point in Semi-State. My junior year, I was added to Defense a week before the season began and played both ways. I started at defensive tackle and we made it to the 6A state championship game.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt and my work ethic. As I mentioned, I completely learned a new position in a matter of weeks--I am a fast learner. I also know what it means to work. I wake up at 5:30 every morning to weight train, lift again after school, and train with an Olympic lifting coach on Saturdays. I train 6 out of 7 days a week, 4 of which are double duty days. I am willing to put in the hard work if it means getting results. When I am not training, I am studying in order to maintain my 4.2/4.0 GPA.
Other aspects that set me apart from other players is my character and involvement in the community. I am an active member of NHS, founded and run a political club at my High School, and was recently awarded my Eagle scout. I also attend church 6 out of 7 days a week. I strive to be a model student in and out of the classroom/on and off the field. I know what winning takes and I am willing to put in the time and work.
