Personal Statement

My name is Elisha Shepherd. I am 17 years old. My collegiate goal is to be accepted into a top university with a great academic program in my field of study. I want to pursue a Bachelor's degree in sports medicine with a minor in Physical Education. My Academic goals are to graduate with honors and to become a student athlete of the year. My desires are to become an NFL football player someday and to train young boys how to play football and how to always keep a positive attitude on and off the field. After playing in the NFL for a certain amount of years my dream is to become a college coach at a university that I feel most comfortable with. With the aspirations that I have, I know I'll be successful as long as I put God first in all I do, stay focused, and work hard. My motto is "a winner never quit and a quitter never wins". This is why I won't give up, but I'll push forward in order to fulfill my goals and dreams for my life. I will be a good candidate for teams due to my eagerness to learn more about the game of football on a higher level, my physical fitness, my speed and the skills I already possess as a defensive back and offensive back in high school football. I am different from other recruits due to my natural instincts and abilities of reading plays, gaining yardage and a dynamic positive team leadership motivation when I'm in action on the field, during practice and in games. Academically my goal is to continue to have a very high GPA and stay an honor student because my education is always a top priority. The game of football is my passion because it teaches young men how to build character on and off the field. As a football player I've learned how to remain humble no matter how I'm complimented by others on my performance after our games of victory or defeat.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
