Some of my earliest memories are of watching football with my family. Our Sunday afternoons are reserved for family football time. I was so excited when I was able to begin playing tackle football in the 1st grade and it has been a major part of my life ever since. The best years I experienced were in middle school when I was part of a team that went 35-1 and won three straight state championships. During those years I played center and was able to really learn the game inside and out. The coaches would often pull me aside when I came off the field to tell them what the defense was doing and give play suggestions. Multiple times my parents were told, "Having Griffin out there is like having another coach on the field." My knowledge of the game has lead for me in high school to be able to play all five positions up front, and on multiple occasions playing all five positions in one series.
My goal after high school is to be part of a football program at a prestigious academic institution so that I can continue to enjoy the competitiveness and camaraderie of the game while reaching my academic goals. Over the past few years I have learned how to manage my time between football, school and working at a local Country Club while maintaining high grades and being successful on the football field. I think that being a part of a collegiate football team will also help me be successful throughout my career as I will know how to work well with my co-workers and achieve my future career goals. I am excited to begin this next chapter in my life and look forward to seeing all of the opportunities that lie ahead.
