Hello my name is Eric Seay. I`m an 12th grade student athlete that plays football for Monroe Comprehensive High School in Albany,Georgia. I currently play offensive guard and tackle for The Monroe Comprehensive High School in Albany,Georgia . I know that grades are very important for the recruiting process and I am very strong in my studies. I am committed to playing football, but without my grades, football would not be a option for school. On and off the field I strive to encourage myself as well as my teammates or even classmates to do their best and never give up. I try to bring a positive vibe to all people I encounter and I live by the golden rule; which is to treat others as you want to be treated. I'm a leader because I believe every individual has some type of talent/ability and sometimes it takes a little push to get to the next level.
My mother has taught me that character takes you further than any ball can. So I always try to make sure I do the little things I`m supposed to do and do it to the best of my ability. I`m very competitive on the field and in the classroom. I enjoy school and the different subject matters that I'm learning. I believe in going the extra mile in anything that I'm doing. I take pride and give my very best in my studies and my effort on the field. My coaches often preach, "How you practice is how you play". That is my motto that stays in my head often.
I'm currently on the track team which I believe will help me with my footwork during football season. I've also been doing conditioning with some of my teammates when time allows. After our workouts we gather as a unit and yell out,"TEAM...BROTHER...BOOM". Which helps to build team chemistry and let us know that we are still a team after the day is over.
I lost my father a few years back, but I have such a awesome support system with my Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother and other family members that I have not missed a beat. Football has given me so much thus far in my life and I pray through hard work and dedication it can carry me into college. I`m a leader on and off the field and I like for people to recognize me for being that.
