Making the State Playoffs last year for the first time in school history is the highlight of my high school career so far. However, I feel I grew most as a player and person during my sophomore year. I started on Varsity as a Sophomore along with 5 other Sophomore's on defense. We went 1-9 and just had a horrible year. At the end of the year we met as a team and set goals for ourselves and as a whole. We knew we needed to commit ourselves to the program. That meant in the classroom, in town, in the weight room and on the field. We needed to become a team and not individuals.
It payed off as we went 6-4 and took second in our district. I learned what it means to make a commitment and to sacrifice to reach your goals. I learned what a good leader is and what a good teammate does. I am looking for a program that is a good fit for me academically and athletically. I know I have the ability to play at the college level, but I will also bring character, work-ethic and leadership skills with me and to make an immediate impact in your program.
