Carl Fiore '17 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a post grad student at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  I came to IMG to compete and grow with some of the best football talent in the country and prepare academically for college.  I have played competitive football since age 5 and baseball and basketball from age 3 to 14.  At age 14, I decided to dedicate my focus to football.  I continue to work year round on increasing my strength, speed, and agility.  With consistent hard work, dedication, and sacrifice I have been able to compete and succeed at the highest level.   As a sophomore, in 2014, I was a top  5 finisher in 5 out of 7 events at the annual Section 2 Weight & Speed Combines.  Dedication and consistent hard work paid even greater dividends in 2015.  At the 2015 Section 2 Weight Lifting Combine I finished : 1st place - bench press, 1st place - squat, 2nd place - clean, and won the 165lb weight class.  At the Section 2 Speed and Agility Combine, I finished 1st in the 40 yard dash (4.56) and 1st in the pro agility shuttle (4.15).  Overall, I finished in the top ten of all athletes.  At Shen, 2014 football team (#3 ranking NYS AA class), I was the proud recipient of the "12th Man Award".  In 2015, my senior season I was Empire Division 1st Team Running Back, Allstar Exceptional Senior, MVP of the Express Mart Kick off Classic in Syracuse, and proud recipient of The George Angley Award given to the exceptional senior that demonstrated leadership qualities by both his performance and example to his fellow teammates.

I am the second oldest of six children in a very close family.  I have significant responsibilities at home, most important of which is being a role model and at times a care taker to 3 very young siblings (8, 6 and 5).   I take this responsibility serious and embrace being a roll model in all aspects.  

While I live in the Northeast, I am willing to play elsewhere so long as I am part of a tight knit football program that mimics the closeness of a community, if not a family.  In addition, I prefer the structure of a year round program.  I am an honest, loyal and hardworking teammate.  I refuse to be outworked by anyone.  I am committed to personal and team goals and know I can contribute to the success of any college team that gives me an opportunity to attend and play.
