Ever since I was in elementary school I always wanted to compete at the college level for football. If I am accpeted to play the best sport in the world at the next level I promise my future coach that I will give each and every play in a game and in practice 110%. I am a good candidate because of my physical and emotional strength. I have a good mind for the game, and my heart is dedicated to this game. I will do my very best on the field and in the classroom. I play Tight End and Defensive End but I am mostly an offensive player. I am different from the other recruits because of my attitude and passion to play football. Everyday that you see me whether it is in the film room, on the field, in the classroom, or in the weight room you can tell I'm here to be the best. I look forward to practice and I love the two-a-day practices because all through out that day I get to play the game I love so much and better my skills. I was taught at a very early age that PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE is the best way to improve yourself in anything you do and that is one major attribute that makes me different from other recruits. One of my strongest traits is my character and the ability to work hard. My parents have taught me to be a kind and helpful person in life and to make a positive difference in our community. But on the field when the whistle blows for game time I turn into Dick Butkus, a mean wreaking machine. I am a leader and not a follower becasue I believe in myself and what I am doing. I am also a teacher and a motivator for my teammates as well as the yonger kids in my town. Last summer I helped coach the Jr. Pee Wee Falcon Pop Waner team and I got compliments from the coaches on what I did during that season. I am a person who will help my teammates and my classmates in anyway possible. In my mind school will always come first to me because I know football one day will end whether it is on my terms or not. Because I know you can't play this game forever, I understand I must do my best in school and focus on my academics. When football ends I will need to use my schooling to get through the rest my life. I finished my freshman year (2015) with a 3.14 GPA and my goal for next year (2016) is to finish with a 3.5 GPA. In my school I was known for my athleticism and my passion to play sports, especially football. My friends always ask me "when would you ever take a day off" because everyday I am doing something to help me improve whether it is lifting, running, skills training, watching film, perfecting my techquines, or even studying the playbook. I tell them I don' take a day off because I love what I am doing and I don't look at it as work. I know that I have talent and passion to play the game of football. However, I realize now that I need to improve on and off the field with my speed and school smarts, in order to reach my full potential and achieve the goals that I have set out for myslef on the football field, in the classroom and in life. That is why I choose to be a student-athlete. Thank you for reading this statment I look forward to the next level.
