Sterling Watkins '17 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to attend a 4 year public or private University and study pre-law. My desire is to compete on a Division 1 Varsity football team.  I believe I would be a good candidate for any program because I am a student of the game and am a team player.  I was selected as the only Sophomore to start every Varsity game during my last season (2014). I am one of four returning starters who will lead the team to hopefully another chance at a state title this upcoming year.  The reason I am different than my teammates and other players, that makes me stand out, is because I am a military brat. I have endured many moves, had to be the "new kid" on several occasions, have had to adapt to many new environments and make new friends over and over again. I have had to experience life with only one parent at times when my dad would deploy and have had to relearn the game of football (each coach is different) many times over.  I have learned that my team is my family and I have had football be my only "constant" in my ever changing life.  I will take this current team to a state championship before I graduate high school and plan to continue this type of success in my collegiate career.
