Personal Statement

The highest priorities in my life are family and education but my passion has always been competitive sports.  It started at 5 years old in soccer where I continued on to play many years at a competitive level.  I enjoyed the competitive nature of the sport and I loved kicking the ball, but what was missing for me was the family aspect of the team; we were always a bunch of guys playing on the same team but never a family.  I found that missing element when I tried out for football in 7th grade.  I had never played before and didn’t have a clue what to do but the coaches and my teammates were always supportive and we were a true family on and off the field.  At the end of that season, I found my true passion- putting the two together for me, I found football place kicking and I’ve been doing it whole heartedly ever since.
My goal is to continue to learn and grow both on the field and in the classroom.  My family experiences and football have taught me that hard work, dedication and 100% effort can get you where you want to be.  Where I want to be in 3 years is attending a high level University where I can not only kick a football and be part of the football family but also learn from the best and become a strong, contributing member of our society in the future.  I am not sure what I want to do as a career yet, but I am fairly confident it will be somewhere in the Sports Medicine field where I can put my love for sports, helping others and continued learning to good use.  What I do know is that I want more than anything to attend college and have the opportunity to play the sport I love while I am there; to help my team win both on and off the field.

  • Dylan is an excellent kicker. The lefty has a strong leg and kicks with great consistency. Field goals are a real strength. Kickoffs continue to improve each time that we see him. Also does well under pressure. He shows steady improvement from camp to camp. Has a great attitude and is a pleasure to work with. Had a perfect junior season on Field Goals making every field goal and extra point. Dylan has a bright future. Should do very well in Las Vegas this coming January. Nice prospect. Chris Sailer

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
