Derrick Carter '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Derrick Carter,  I'm a senior football player at Sylacauga High School in Sylacauga, Al., and my position is DL.  If I'm offered the opportunity to get accepted for a  football scholarship, I feel that I will go all the way.  I'm a dedicated, hard working, strong DL player, and with my overall talent and skills, I feel that I will make a good asset to an outstanding D1 football team.  My choice is D1 because I feel that I deserve that chance to prove myself.  I waited a little late to complete everything I needed  to become a first pick but I'm determined to lead a team with wins in my current DL position.  My dreams are to become the best DL football player throughout my college career.  I have close family members that followed their dreams and became successful and professional  athletes in the NFL .  My uncle Derrick Oden who played for the University of Alabama back in 92 and from there he went pro with the Philadelphia Eagles and my grandfather Richard Oden who played back in the late 60's at Alabama State, and from their he signed with the Los Angeles Rams but his career ended from a tragic car accident.  So that football talent is in me.!  From a kid up until now I've always wanted fulfil my dreams and goals of being a professional football player..  My intentions to get to the NFL, is one of my top priorities. I will strive to get a good education and have a strong reputation for being the best player In college football.  These are my goals and I feel that I will accomplish them because I'm very determined!
