Field hockey is not just a sport to me. It’s something that I cannot see my life without. Ever since I picked up a stick, I have seen myself playing field hockey at a high level.
I am very dedicated, not only to field hockey, but also to my academics. I put 110% into all that I do. I plan to graduate college with a degree in either psychology or pre- law. I would also like to graduate knowing that my communication skills, leadership skills, and self-discipline skills have been vastly improved by my experience of playing field hockey in college. I am very focused on reaching my goals.
I bring a strong leadership role both on and off the field, and I lead by example. I am the person who others can rally around and who makes sure that we get the job done. I always strive to be the hardest working player on the field, so that I can push my teammates and we can all in turn become better.
What makes me different? I am different from all other recruits because of the reasons I have previously listed, and because I am extremely goal oriented. My passion and goals are derived from the relationships I have developed on the field and off. My teammates are my family and I would never want to disappoint any of them. This feeling of failure on multiple levels drives me to be the best person, athlete, student, and friend I can possibly be.
