Hi! As you probably already know, my name is Karli, and I'm from Fort Worth, Texas. I am a very energetic, positive, and funny (at least I think I am) person that enjoys spending time with friends, taking pictures, and traveling around the world! I started playing field hockey in seventh grade as a midfielder. Because my team needed a goalie, and I had played goalie in soccer for many years prior, I agreed to play thinking, oh, how hard could it be? Well, unsurprisingly, it was a challenge, but it was also extremely fun; I quickly fell in love with both the game and the position, and there was no turning back. Although school season was fun, I wasn't getting as much training as I wanted (also I did not have a goalie coach), so I went online and watched hours of video and games to better myself as a player. About a year ago, I met Shawn Hindy and began to play for his club, First Class Field Hockey. Growing up, my mom has been my biggest role model and cheerleader. She has raised me with a deep love of family, service, and Christ, and continues to influence my actions and dreams. She is always on the sideline, wherever that may be and I am so thankful for her supporting my dream of playing collegiate field hockey. She also taught me how important my education is. Because of that, I study extremely hard to maintain an A average, and, in college, I hope to study International Business with a double minor in French Studies and Women Studies. I also have a few extracurricular activities that I very much enjoy. I am nearly fluent in French, studying Spanish, and starting to learn German. I am an aspiring photographer (@karlixphoto) that enjoys fashion and sports photography. I also run track (200m) and hold a school record for shotput (31' 3 1/2"m). I hope that this paragraph helps you learn more about who I am outside of field hockey, and I hope that you liked what you read! Have a spectacular day!
