Zara Tickner '14 Recruiting Profile

A Harrisburg, PA native, I am nearly 5'5" and weigh about 125 lbs. Typically I am a defender on the hockey field and can play center, right, or left back. However, I am comfortable switching to other poisitions as needed. As well as playing field hockey for the Central Dauphin High School team, I play for the East Coast Field Hockey club team, too. Academically, I have very high expectations. Throughout my sophomore year, I began to really notice my strengths and weaknesses. Math has proven to be my absolute least favorite class, while English was a subject that I really excelled at. Currently I have not yet chosen a career path to follow; however, I would like to attend a college or university that is academically challenging. From numerous experiences, I have learned that people make all the difference no matter where I am, so I do not have any preference as to where the school is located or what size it is. Ideally, I would like to keep a balance between my academics and athletics. Nonetheless, I am a hard working individual and a dedicated player on and off the field, and I am willing to push myself in all that I do.
