Margaret (Maggie) DeStephano '20 Recruiting Profile

I hope for college to be a time where I can grow both as a player and a person. Field hockey has been influential in my life and has given me more confidence in everything. On the field, I am always trying to help my teammates succeed; I am a firm believer in "only being as strong as your weakest link". I like to set goals for myself and won't stop until I reach them, whether they be academic or athletic. I am very focused on being a dynamic and versatile goalkeeper, and take pride in my footwork and speed. I love to see improvement and it's the best feeling for me to see when my hard work has paid off, which is why I want to be a part of a field hockey program that challenges me--one where I have to work to succeed. 
    Playing hockey has allowed me to meet and play with people who are now like my family. I love this sport and all it has given me, which is why I want to continue playing in college. I am very excited to find the school that will help me be the best I can be!
