Megan Demarco '11 Recruiting Profile

I started playing field hockey when I was about 4 years old. My father has been a coach for over 25 years and we share the love of the game. I have worked hard to improve my game so I could reach my goal of playing field hockey in college. My involvement in the Futures Program for the last 6 years has allowed me to gain the skills and mental awareness to succeed in the game. My high school career has been very memorable and fulfilling. We won the Conference 2 years and I was able to lead my team in goals. I am now captain and look forward to leading my team to states. I have just broke my 100 career goal and hope to break the school record of 109 goals by the end of this season. It has always been my dream to play at the collegiate level. My "ideal college" would be a midsize suburban campus that has Elementary Education, a competitive field hockey program and be within a three to four distance from my home. In addition, I am looking for any financial assistance that would be available. My overall desire is to be the best student athlete possible.
