Growing up I played soccer, lacrosse, and ice hockey, but I made the decision to switch from soccer to field hockey my freshman year of high school. In my first year of playing competitive field hockey I made the freshman team, but that season I knew I loved the sport and set a goal to play on varsity my sophomore year. Over the course of that winter and spring I improved my skills tremendously by starting club field hockey, playing at a higher level, and getting touches on the ball whenever I could. By the time the next fall came around, I had achieved what I had been working towards for almost a year.
I train hard off the field by going to the gym, and constantly working on improving my stick work so I can be the best athlete I can be. I am determined, competitive, and willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals, and living with two brothers has taught me just that. My Dad has also motivated me since I was young by constantly pushing me to improve and giving me feedback that always betters my game. Field hockey is my greatest passion in life, and being on the field with a stick in my hands is what I was born to do.
I consider myself a hardworking student-athlete who is motivated by challenges and I value the educational aspect as much as the athletic experiences. I am looking for a program that will fit me athletically as well as academically, and it is important to me that I excel in both. I strongly believe that I have the ability to compete at the college level, and I will bring my determination, competitiveness, and commitment to your program.NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the exclusive athletic recruiting network that educates, assists, and connects, families, coaches and companies so they can save time and money, get ahead and give back.
