My name is Alina Peon. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I played for 8 years at Belgrano Athletic Club until I moved to Florida in 2016. I played in the A division were I was chosen as Team Captain. During my years at the club, I was recognized with the Revelation Player, Best Teammate and Perfect Assistance awards. In Argentina, I played field hockey in school from 1st grade until 10th grade (House Captain and Team Captain- Founders Cup Award) until we moved to the United States. Now, in Doral Field Hockey Club since 2016.
I am a junior (class of 2018) at Boca High, were I am taking the AICE University of Cambridge classes. Having experienced both small private school life at Argentina and a public high school in the US has definitely helped me grow on my independence, sense of companionship and leadership.
Field hockey has been my life for 12 years now and it has built me as an athlete, friend and student. It is because of field hockey that I learnt the meaning of true commitment, hard work and responsibility; values that I take onto the field but also, reflect on my academics.
To play in college is my biggest dream, and I hope that wherever I play, I contribute as much as I can to the team and grow as an athlete. I am really interested in the Liberal Arts and I desire to push myself into a high academic school.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review my profile! Hope to hear from you!
Alina.
