Braydon Martinez '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old and owe it all to my family.  They have encouraged me through all of the challenges and helped me grow.  They taught me the lessons I learn in baseball, will transform to my life.   I must battle through the bad times and enjoy the good, continue to work hard, and never give up.

While playing baseball, I have learned respect.  I carry that respect to my life, my family, and my friends.  I respect the game and have fun.  I treat my family, teammates, coaches, and others as I would like to be treated.    I have learned to be a patient pitcher while working hard to achieve my goals.  My main goal is to pitch in the Major League and I will continue to work harder than anyone to get there.

I realize being involved in sports requires me to be a good student and that is why I focus on being a “student” athlete.  I work hard to keep my grade point average at a 3.0 or higher.  I recently graduated from Junior Leadership class where I learned how to be a leader while learning the importance of a good education.  I take that leadership to the field by encouraging my teammates.  I always strive to support the team that is on the jersey I wear.
