Ricky Glowe '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a dedicated student-athlete looking for the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic goals at a college that fits my profile. I carry a 3.52 GPA and am also taking 2 AP courses during my Senior year. I am also apart of NHS (National Honor Society), whose platform can be taken advantage of in order to give back to the surrounding community by the use of volunteer work. I have learned that the only way to achieve my dreams is to work hard everyday and to not let anyone tell me I can't do it.  Along with academics and athletics, I took a job in the summer before my Junior year which I have held for over a year and counting. It has helped to teach me the value of hard work and how to manage my time and still get everything done that I want accomplished. 

As a player, I consider my strengths to be pitching and hitting. As a pitcher, I have the stuff to strike batters out consistently and also pitch to contact to get outs. As a hitter, I can hit the ball consistently to all parts of the field and with power. I also lead by example on the field and during the off season, putting in the work necessary to come back better every season. 

As a person, I am respectful, courteous, and caring. I have dedication towards everything I do which helps me to keep growing as a person and an athlete. I am developing my skills as a leader, primarily through leading by example but becoming more and more vocal as the confidence inside of me grows. I believe as an athlete and a student, that my best years are yet to come and I am excited to find a college that will help maximize my potential.
