I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old and wanted to become a professional baseball player shortly after that. Through 5th grade I was an outfielder, but I wanted to pitch and play the infield where the action is. After much convincing, I got my coach at the time to give me a shot at pitching. I got out there and gave it my best and for me that was all I needed. That is probably one of my most memorable moments in my baseball career, and was really a turning point in the path to becoming the kind of player I am today. I love the sport ,and all I want to do with my summer days is play baseball and play more basebal! This is why I hope to extend my baseball career much farther than high school. As long as my arm stays strong you can bet you will see me out on that mound or infield giving it my all. I consider myself a strong team player and leader who will encourage his teamates with their swing, maybe how to throw a pitch differently, or just encouraging them not to give up on themselves. Everyone gets frusturated while trying to play a sport to the best of their ability, but I will support my teamates as long as they are giving it their all, and I will be right next to them doing the same!
The biggest thing I have learned in baeball is that having confidence is not a bad thing. There is cockyness, where you go around gloating to everyone, and then there is confidence. My confidence is such that I know if I am given the chance to make a difference in the game, I will. That's because I know that I can execute in the toughest situations. Confidence in yourself is the key to this game, and that is my greatest strength. I dont get flustured on the mound, and I always have the same demeanor, ready for anything. My coaches have always complimented me on my pitching demeanor and my "presence" on the mound. I am what I consider a "gamer", once I get between the lines, my game face is on and stays on until the liast out. My best pitch is my curveball which is my strikeout pitch, and I have just added an above average changeup for my junior year. I am an above average infielder with a strong and accurate arm. Third base is my preference, but I have also played shortstop, and would consider second base too.
Aside from baseball, attending a high quality college is also very important to me. I have always been interested in music and business. I have not really figured out what I want to do as a career, but I know music, baseball, and business will have a big roll in that. I want to go to a school that will give me a opportunity to play for their team and show them what I can do. I want a great education, so I can make the most of my life and one day provide for my family giving them as many opportunites as I have had as a child, if not more.
