Mitchel French '12 Recruiting Profile

My height is 5' 9" my weight is 165 lb. I have better than average speed, and was one of the faster players on my High School Team. I have a good eye for the ball, and am a good contact hitter with two strikes, also have very few strikeouts. I am very versatile and can play any outfield or infield position. My pitching has much improved since working with a pitching coach this past winter. This past year I have received the Ohio Valley Conference 1st team, I also received West Virginia 1st Team All State as a Junior.  I have also played on the American Legion Post #3 Team for the past three summers. I have played on a travel team for 4 years and played in Cooperstown, NY Dream Park Tournament. I have played baseball since I was 5 years old. I have always loved baseball and am on the field early, in the batting cages and helping the coach getting the field ready for the game. I am always willing to help encourage other players when their struggling. I have always wanted to play college baseball and am willing to do whatever it takes to obtain that goal. I would prefer to play at a big school, but will play wherever I get the opportunity no matter what region of the country. I plan on majoring in Business or Engineering. I want to play as a freshmen if possible, and would prefer to play at high competitive level.
