Hello, I'm Kyle Bastrom. I am a senior student-athlete at Washington High School in Tacoma, WA and I am looking to move onto college and achieve my dreams of graduating from a 4 year university with my degree. Ever since I can remember I have always thought about having my own family; being a support for my future wife and a role-model for my kids. When I was younger I realized that the best way to achieve this goal would be to use my athletic ability in baseball to receive a scholarship to play baseball in college. I have played team baseball since I was 4, which has included Little League, select/club ball, and high school ball. So far in my life I have tried to do everything I can to reach my goal by striving to do my best academically and athletically.
Financially, staying in the NW for college makes most sense and am strongly considering beginning a BA/BS program at a Junior College, then transferring to a university for my Junior/Senior years. I am most interested in studying either Sports Marketing or Sports Medicine (with physical therapy being my interest). My goal is to play ball as long as I am able, and most importantly to earn academic scholarships along the way. As a member of your baseball team I know that I would continue to work hard and do the best I can to represent the program the way I am supposed to.
